Have you ever gotten to that point where you ask yourself “Who am I now? How did I get to this point?” If you are really honest with yourself, most of us have asked ourselves one or both of these questions at some point in our lives.
I believe this happens when we experience a big change; some of these changes include marriage & childbirth, a period of unemployment, or when things don’t pan out the way we planned. I am all too familiar with this feeling because I experienced all of the above, and one of my loved ones is also no stranger to this.
It really doesn’t matter how we got to that point; as it is popularly said, “There is no point crying over spilt milk”? The important thing here is how we manage the situation along with our emotions, and how we get out of this state.
I like to share my personal experiences so that you know my write-ups are not fictional, and I believe it also let’s you know that you are not alone in whatever you may be going through.
So how did I get out of this state? Or should we start by asking, “Am I out of this phase yet?” The answer is YES I am out of it. Now we can move to how I made it out. I started by accepting that I cannot control everything around me, and then I reminded myself that change is the most constant thing. However, I believe the most important step I took was giving control over to the only person who is able to make a difference in my life – my Heavenly Father.
Furthermore, I realized that it’s all in the mind. Once you come to this realization, you know that with God empowering you, you can start seeing the positives in your life rather than dwelling on the negatives. You also start seeing yourself the way God sees you – beautiful and strong.
If this applies to you, give my method a try and let me know how it worked for you.
Stay hopeful…..Find your Purpose!
