I recently watched the much talked about movie – War Room. It’s about the daily experiences in marriage, and how a woman learnt to submit herself and her home completely to God. I won’t give you the full details about the movie yet specially if you haven’t seen it yet, but I encourage you to get the movie and watch it.
In this day and age, ladies find it difficult to submit to their husbands or even respect him, all because of equality and women’s right. I’m not suggesting that you become a doormat; I’m only saying that for you to have a successful marriage and a happy home, you need to submit and respect. Even the bible says so in the book of Ephesians.
A part of the movie really struck a chord with me, “your thoughts about your husband are almost entirely negative… your husband certainly has his issues but he is not your enemy”. Somehow we also tend to think that we are in competition with our spouses or that our spouses are our enemies. When we fight against our spouses, we are fighting against our own marriages and families. We are different people from different backgrounds, each with our own issues. We need to understand this fact and adjust our mindsets.

I have learnt that you cannot truly submit except you have a relationship with God. With God, it becomes easier for you to do what is right, and this in turn gives you what you have been longing for – happiness.
For those of you who are yet to get married, it’s the right time for you to get this movie so you don’t make the same mistakes that most people make. And for those of us who are married already, it’s never too late to change our ways and adjust our attitudes.
There is always hope with life. Watch the movie, learn from it, practice what you have learnt and watch God do wonders for you in your homes and in your lives as a whole.

Great movie!! There is power in prayer…in praying right and knowing who the enemy really is.
Yes o we have to know who the real enemy is. We also have to learn to back off, hands off and let God step in. We have to trust God because He is the best “Defense Attorney”
